Greeting Parents,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at Swint Elementary School, Home of the Eagles, where we are under the dynamic leadership of Mrs. Sarah Cainion, Principal and Dr. Sharon Jones, Assistant Principal.  Here at Swint Elementary, we are committed to high performance.  We have five (5) principles by which we govern daily: increase academic achievement, provide a safe learning environment, promote engagement and communication, provide high quality support service and recruit qualified and effective staff.

My name is Valerie Williams and I am your Parent Liaison at E. J. Swint Elementary School.  I am excited about the possibilities in my role to serve you. Currently, we are in a space of face-to-face and virtual learning, teaching and navigating through a pandemic.  These times are challenging and uncertain, but I am here to help you get  through them virtually. It is my goal to increase parent participation through communication by helping you to become empowered to support your student(s) with the necessary tools for success and being the bridge between school and community.

I would like to invite you to take advantage of your Virtual Parent Resource Center.  Your virtual Resource Center has been built to support, inform and empower.  Your Resource Center is where you will find resources such as links to our weekly parent workshops, parent compact. Parent Right to Know, monthly workshop calendars, parents updates, volunteer information, employment resources, newsletters, GaDOE school data, and other important resources needed to assist you. Additionally, always visit the Title I page on the school’s website. In order for us to be successful, we need your daily engagement and support. It is my responsibility as your Parent Liaison to engage, provide support and resources from the community.

I’ve been an advocate for parents, children and community for more than 15 years.  I serve in various capacities for the communities of Clayton County and Atlanta.  I’m here to serve you and I trust you will support me by attending workshops, PTA’s, School Council meetings and being involved with your child’s academic success.  We look forward to your input and participation this school year.
